OVERVIEW:
Impressive restaurant for a handful of reasons. Foremost is its sheer size. There is seating for 429. But just because there's so much space, don't think for a nanosecond that you'll be able to stroll in and be seated immediately. This restaurant gets packed. Fast. Especially on weekends and even more so during racing season. Christine Lee's has been in business for more than four decades, the first 37 years of which it spent on South Beach before arriving on the third floor at Gulfstream Park. With floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the restaurant these days offers a magnificent view of the racetrack and the Aventura skyline. The signature dish is the prime sirloin steak and it comes in two sizes, 12 ounces ($30) and 16 ounces ($38). There's also a huge wine list, great sushi rolls, and plenty of traditional shrimp and chicken entrées. It's an expensive place that fills up quickly, mostly with senior citizens and assorted other retirees/octogenarians. You'll likely be accommodated earlier in the week without calling ahead. But a word to the wise: play it safe and make a reservation, especially on a Friday or Saturday.
