Loehmann's Plaza

OVERVIEW:
Geesh! This restaurant used to be hard to find before The Venture, that eyesore of a condo complex, muscled its way into Loehmann's Plaza. Now it's really hard to find. And that's a shame because Fuji Hana is very good, from top to bottom. The service and the atmosphere are sublime. If you want a quiet, out-of-the-way place, this is the spot for you. To find it, park near Publix and start walking west into the desolate courtyard. You know, behind the area formerly occupied by FISH 54 and the Jewelers Exchange. Incidentally, both spaces remain empty, as of this writing. As for the food at Fuji Hana, it's excellent. The best salmon teryaki appetizer you'll find in South Florida. So soft and bursting with taste. The excellent soups (miso, tom yum, and wanton) and chicken sasami maki are also great starters. I'm a huge fan of BBQ eel and Fuji Hana offers some great choices to sate my appetite, like the Unagi Roll ($9.50) and the Neptune Roll ($12.50). Ordering a boat for a party of two or more is also great fun. They're priced at $55 for two people and $85 for a party of three.
