OVERVIEW:
In a nutshell: It's loud and the stench of lard fills the air like a warm haze at Johnny Rockets. This place obviously was conceived for children. I cannot fathom how or why any mentally abled adult would sashay on in for a meal. I would guess the average age of the patrons at Johnny Rockets is about eight. The menu is loaded with one unhealthy thing after another, like bacon double-cheeseburgers, hot dogs, Philly cheesesteaks, and grilled cheese. But it will surely keep your youngsters from complaining. Think of it as an high-class McDonald's and you'll get the picture. (You'll find a few salads, but none stands out). To its credit, the wait-staff does an incredibly remarkable job of remaining friendly and cheerful despite all of the mischevious youngsters either causing havoc or looking to do so. Another bonus is the restaurant's size. It's truly gigantic. The retro décor which mimics 1950s-style diners, replete with the ubiquitous jukebox, is rather cool, although it surely gets lost on the Gen-Y'ers who comprise an overwhelming majority of Johnny Rockets customers.
