OVERVIEW:
Talk about misnomers. The name "Yard House" doesn't exactly conjure up the most flattering notions in my mind. To be frank, it makes me think of a second-rate beer joint. So let's set the record straight. Yard House is nothing like I envisioned. This is a hot spot. Probably the best hangout at Gulfstream Park. A huge bar and plenty of tables, both inside and on the patio. A menu loaded with great stuff, from the quickies (sandwiches, pizzas, and burgers) up through the big plates (fresh seafood, steaks, and ribs). But if there's one thing you'll remember most, it's the never-ending list of ales from which to choose. Blondes, honeys, whites, pales, browns, and on and on. Highly recommend Yard House for a fun night out. Typically large crowds. Friendly, though. Everyone seems as if they're genuinely having a great time. Much better class of patrons than Cadillac Ranch. Great food, great service, and an over-the-top selection of libations. As "upscale" an environment as you'll find in a bar and, especially at Gulfstream Park. Definitely something different for the area.
